Rediscovering beauty and meaning in a chaotic world.

Arrivals & Departures began as a freak idea amid the COVID-19 lockdown in London. As an artist, author, combat veteran, and social worker, I wanted to make sense of a new, uncertain world.

From moving every 2-3 years as a military brat and into adulthood after serving in the US Army, my life has always been very much on-the-go. Today, years after a highly mobile childhood and military service, my itinerant and irreverent ways are undoubtedly ingrained.

Traveling has generated an everlasting curiosity about food, music, literature, history, art—all the components that give cultures value—and I intend to share what the journey thus far has meant.

Through these dispatches from around the world, I explore lessons learned, new discoveries, amazing food, life-altering events, Kafkaesque timelines, and stories of real people.
